ABOUT US

“Dad and I always wanted to open our own restaurant together,” Segura, Jr. said. “With the help of some good friends and supporters, we were able to secure a great location and make the dream come true.”

They hope to opened in June of 2024.

Segura, Jr. said they want to maintain the sports bar vibe with several large-screen televisions in the front of the restaurant, with a nicer dining area in the back. Their ultimate goal is to offer a unique Mexican dining experience with fresh food and friendly service.

The older Segura is a long-time Real Hacienda employee.

“My inspiration came from being in this business for so long, and I’ve learned so much,” he said. “My family misses all the friends we’ve made throughout the years, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone again.”

The restaurant features outdoor seating and a drive-through window for an enhanced carry-out experience. A large party area is also available for reservations.

“My dad has been running Mexican restaurants for over 26 years. I practically grew up in the restaurants,” Segura Jr. said. “When the location became available, we both leaped at the news and knew it was our best bet.”

Segura said the location is great for former regulars at Legends, patrons visiting the adjoining shopping center, and Daviess County’s east-end residents driving in from Whitesville and Philpot.
